Heaven, Man, Earth (draft)

About Heaven (Tien), Man (Ren), Earth (Di)

The cosmic trinity: three distinct but interconnected forces that influence your journey in life. Each one is equally weighted in importance without regard to hierarchy or order. The Cosmic Trinity, also called the Power of Three, is made up three types of luck:

Heaven Luck, or Destiny Luck, refers to your destiny DNA. It is believed that, at the instant of your conception, you captured the energy of the universe at that moment in time. It cannot be changed. In other words, Chinese Metaphysics teaches that one-third of your life’s path may be pre- determined by destiny. These factors include the timing and location of your birth, who your ancestors are, the circumstances you were born into, your family background, and your innate talents and limitations. These are the things that “fate” or “destiny” predetermined for you. This is your ultimate purpose in life and it is unique to each and every person.

Man Luck refers to the things you can control. This, of course, is free will. These are the choices you make every day to improve (or worsen) your life. These include your virtues, actions or inactions, decisions, behaviors, emo- tions, attitude, thoughts, education, cultural and religious beliefs, and the people you choose to associate with. You ultimately decide how you want to see and experience each stage of your life’s path, and how you will suc- cessfully navigate each obstacle and grow from it.

Earth Luck refers to the influences of your environment and how the energy in the environment interacts with your personal energy. These influ- ences come from the spaces you occupy in your home, as well as the places you choose to work, spend time in, and raise your family. Practitioners use and apply Feng Shui to harness the benevolent energy from the earth to positively influence your life.

What does this all mean?

Within Man is a capacity to travel between Heaven and Earth. The Heavens represent the unknowable, and the Earth represents the known. Man is in-between. In the in-between, Man can access the incalculable (Heaven) and the articulate (Earth). Man can bring Heaven to Earth through a birthing process of intuition, instinct, dreams, emotions, moods, images, and actions. This birthing process is the mediator between the unknown and the known. Man’s paradox: Man cannot go to heaven, but Man can see heaven and bring heaven to earth. Heaven is the blueprint for Earth’s divine form. Earth is formless and shapeless but can be shaped into Heaven’s divine form. Man can access Heaven's blueprints and shape Earth. As Man continues to open himself to the Heavens, he gains greater influence over Earth’s form. A Man in tune with the heavens can see the ultimate form within this formless and shapeless world. He can speak reality into existence as his words are true and his hands are guided by a divine spirit. An existential question: If God is unbounded and without limitation, then why isn't his creation perfect? The fact that earth could be a divine utopia, but is not, is a real tragedy. I believe God has done this for us, for his own ambition. You see… God lacks one thing: limitation. Without limitation there is no story, there just IS. Limitation is a tragedy and a prerequisite for every story. But why have limitation at all? God embodying himself in limited form creates the ultimate divine story of how limitation can overcome tragedy to become divine. The divine form is not the ultimate form because it lacks limitation. The ultimate form is limited AND divine, a harmoniously balanced perfection. Man has the ultimate opportunity to be limited and divine, to bring heaven to earth, to be the full embodiment of heaven and earth, ultimate beauty.
