If something is good then it closely conforms to it's ideal.


Stories & Myth

A story is the narrative account of something that happened. A good story is both true someone tells a story about their experience, it's historical accuracy is most important. If someone isn't accurate in their account, then they are seen as a liar and their story is not taken seriously. Stories can be good or bad. A good story typically follows a narrative structure of having a start/intro, middle/conflict, and end/resolution. Some stories contain something more -- something difficult to put my finger on. Some stories are more relatable than others. Some stories contain lessons in how to or not to behave in a situation -- these are the stories that are retold. While a good story is accurate, in the retelling of a story, it's accuracy becomes less important as the story transcends itself into a myth.


A myths is a narrative that capture a archetypal experiences. While the birds have adapted to survive by travel south before winter by instinct, humans have adapted to avoid the pitfalls of their self deception by myth. Myths capture an experience that one can expect to come across in their lifetime. The telling and listening of the myth prepares our minds for these archetypal experiences and provides
